Tearist Music Video Shoot

Got the opportunity to shoot a music video for Tearist in Jordan's new store Take Off in the Valley of LA. After all his stories of his growing up years, I was scared of crazed teenagers roaming the streets to do me harm, but it was a typical Valley day. We ate at In and Out Burger, looked for large items that could be broken apart at the thrift store, bought 5 strobe lights at Party City, and smashed a few mirrors in front of Will and Yasmine's faces. They were good sports.

The Beginning

While back in Austin, I had access to all my old harddrives and found this video I made after meeting The Wives in Prague in 2005. Eventually they would become No Age. Enjoy!

Important People

I am back in my hometown, catching up with all the amazing people I know here. Here is Adam Jones of the band YellowFever and his son Miles. I've known Miles since he was 2 and now at 9 he is making his own songs, playing piano, and draws complete comic books. We all went to the Japanese Gardens and amused the guy working at Amy's Ice Cream.

Scream Mask

one last solution bring back the guillotine

go down in the basement
that's where it's at

Mexico City: Post No Age

No Age left and I went to Yautepec Gallery owned by Brett Schultz of Brett Schultz Himself fame. He has a wicked show up right now by Tony Garafalakis, my favorite piece being one that used video tape from The Exorcist movies to create upside down crosses. Reminded me of Steenbeck Loop. My friends Javier and Chloe are currently running a project called VICO where artists get to share videos in the museum space. I went to a night of that and then the next day we borrowed Javier's mother's car and drove out to the contemporary art museum at UNAM.

Mexico City

So much amazing food in this city! Yesterday Cundo, Scott, and I walked around and I ate: chicken tacos, sugar covered tamarindo, jicama with chile/salt/red sauce, blue tortilla quesadilla with spinach and cheese (pictured below), tamale, and mescal. Today I had quesadillas with spinach, cactus, and bistec with horchata in a Mercado near the Frida Kahlo museum. A flower store was blaring "Fever Dreaming" over the radio. I bought all the boys roses from the shop.
